Welcome to the Stoke Tennis Club

We are a growing club, with around 200 members of all ages and abilities.

The Club is located at the corner of Songer Street and Main Road Stoke, next to Greenmeadows.

Courts and Facilities

Stoke has five astro turf courts that are accessible by swipe card to club members.

All courts are equipped with lights so play can continue into the evening.

Members of the public are advised that the closest public courts, available for use free of charge, can be located at Tahunanui Beach.

The new clubhouse is part of the Greenmeadows Stoke Community Centre and is now re-opened!

Summer Coaching opportunities

Racquet Stringing Service

There is now a racquet stringing service available for club members: contact Kolie for details.

Stoke Club Tops

These new STC branded t-shirts and singlets are a great way to support your Club on court.

The tops come in black or white. The t-shirts are $45.95 and the singlets are $44.95. Sizing as follows:

MENS: M, L, XL

WOMENS: 10, 12, 14

YOUTH: 10, 12, 14

Ordering is currently closed. There will be further opportunities to order again later in the summer.

A huge vote of thanks to our outgoing president, Richard Waite, for all of the time and energy he has put into the club over the last 5 years. And welcome to Koro Awarangi, the new club president.

Congratulations

The Lodestone Classic Invitational Tournament was held in Upper Moutere recently. Stoke teams played some outstanding tennis with Kolie and Julie finishing as runners up in the competitive grade, after a close super tiebreaker finish. And in the 'social' section Kay and Hahn played some great matches to take out the win! It was a great day of tennis, thanks to Moutere for hosting a memorable tournament.

The NBTA end of season celebrations acknowledged Stoke Club Volunteer of the Year:

Don Baskett

Thanks to Don for all of the time and energy he puts into keeping the club courts in excellent condition. Here is Don being presented with his award at a recent club day.

Congratulations also goes to the Stoke 4 Strokes - John Armstrong, Jono Trolove, Pete Cronin, Andy Smith & Hamish Grenfell.

A great season saw them finish Runner Up in the Men's B Grade competition, as well as coming a close 2nd in the Best Sportsmanship Award for their grade.

While packing up the club rooms in preparation for the new building to begin Phillip Strawbridge was presented with a trophy from the trophy cabinet that he won 15 years ago! We look forward to re-locating the Club Trophy cabinet to it's new home in a few months.
